I hope people know that this what slavery entailed.
It wasn’t just beatings, whippings, rapes and murder.
It was about forcing black women to nurse the children of their oppressors and rapists, about making them neglect their own children.
Can you imagine the indignity of that?
Next time some simple ass motherfucker starts telling you that “life was so much better for black families during slavery”
Kill them.
The second you open your mouth and try to reduce the damage done by slavery to black minds, bodies, souls and families, I just want you to know that you that you are forfeiting your life.

^^^^^

This is why preachy white lactivists get such side eye from me. Create a culture where black women are respected & supported in caring for their own children & we can talk. Otherwise find your lane & STFU about what we’re doing with our bodies.

Since when does absolutely ANYONE say that black families were better off during slavery? What the fuck lol

Uhhhh… So did you just miss that one time that a bunch of Christian conservatives decided that Black people were better off in the slavery days than we are now? Or….? Let’s see, who has also said this? A professor said it once. One of my ex friends said this to my face. OH! And one of my friend’s mothers, while lamenting the “Broken Black homes.” Can I also note that she was divorced herself.

But for real, the fact that you’re LAUGHING and the first thing you had to say was, “When has ANYONE said this? LOL” and acting like it’s so unbelievable that this shit happens is a perfect example of just one of the privileges you have as a white person in this country.: Never having to even register when the very people who want to run the country ware ready to throw a chunk of the population under the bus with racism, because you don’t have to deal with it. Let this be a learning moment, please? Racism is still alive and kicking, and it’s kicking hard. Remember this. Kay?
