Thanks for your question! You know, I’ve spent days mulling over how to answer this, and I feel like there’s a lot that I’m going to miss. To my PoC followers, please feel free to add your thoughts and advice as well!
Intra(inter?)PoC racism is white supremacism that has become embedded in our cultures. We internalize that same shit and shoot that same ignorance at each other. There are a lot of ways to handle it. Personally, I feel like the best way to handle it is to address it. Despite the fact that we’re all PoC, some groups have privilege over others, and it’s important to examine that privilege, and deconstruct it, an be aware of what we say.
If you can, I’d suggest being pro-active. Call people out when you hear them say things that are racist. Just because the person saying it is a PoC doesn’t mean it’s any less hurtful or damaging. If you find yourself being called out for saying something, listen, apologize, and don’t say it again.
People regurgitating those stereotypes need to examine themselves. They’re doing many things:
1. Grouping all women from a culture—possibly many cultures—together.
2. Reducing women to their sexuality
3. Exoticizing women of color
They need to examine the things they’re saying, why they’re saying those things, why they believe those things. They should be called out and challenged, but not much is going to change unless they choose to listen and challenge themselves.
I feel like intra-poc racism is one of those things that has to be tackled from the inside. Building up solidarity between groups, having open honest exchanges, and recognizing the privileges some may have over others is a good way to start.

It’s not necessarily a two way road, though, seeing as one group has institutional power and benefits from the oppression of the other. So.
