White privilege is wanting to hurt, trigger, and oppress people of marginalized groups out of spite. That’s also racism. So behold! Another ignorant white person to stay away from. This one wants to do racist shit to hurt you. Isn’t that lovely of them? :|I really just want to act like a racist so these fucking retard social justice bloggers will have a real reason to hate me.
You’re using ablist slurs…so us “social justice bloggers” already probably have a legit reason to hate you.
It’s funny how people think we aren’t making a difference, when we’re on the fucking front lines. I’d say using the internet is just as effective as working with groups and orgs, if not *more* effective on a personal basis. It’s free, it’s information accessible to anyone with access to the internet, there’s no organization or planning involved, and you can reach way more people than you ever could in just a panel. So my best friend, Alexa, has been talking about a lot of social justice blog annoyances and reverse racism and blah blah things like that and I had never really seen any of that on tumblr because I don’t know I never thought to look them up so I did and at first I was like
and then, I thought to myself:
“How’s muh afro”
bitches needa stop complaining and stop playing “the victim” and go do something productive. You’re all idiots, those for AND against racism and reverse racism. Go find a new hobby that doesn’t involve complaining online. If you’re that passionate about it find some groups and organizations out in the real world because honestly you’re making no difference right now.
As for “not making a difference.” I guess all of the PoC who tell us how glad they are to have found others who go through what they go through/who are comforted to have found that they aren’t alone/who are happy to have someone to relate to, even if that someone is on the other side of the country, or the other side of the planet…. I guess they all mean nothing. Sorry you guys, we didn’t make a difference in their lives. Oh, and the white people who message us thanking us for opening their eyes to their privilege, and that they will be more careful and sensitive to how they treat people because they didn’t realize that certain things aren’t racist and hurtful? We didn’t change make a difference in their lives. Nor did we make a small difference in the lives of every single PoC those white people will ever encounter, by proxy. PoC finding a safe space, someone to relate to, a friend, isn’t making a difference for them. And those white people who will go on to call out their white friends when they say racist things? Nope! Not them either.
Personally, I guess it’s a good thing that I didn’t make my blog to make a difference, but to vent about things that affect me personally as a woman of color, huh?
That aside, I have one thing to tell you, and one thing only: just because you think what we do is pointless doesn’t mean you’re right. If one of us can touch thousands of people, then thousands of us can touch millions (and that’s without taking into account the ripple effect), and if you call that “not making a difference,” then you know what, dear ladybug666? I can’t speak for us all, but as for me, I’m just going to keep on complaining online and, you know, *not* making a difference, if it’s all the same to you.
P.S. “Reverse racism”… I think you might have spelled “karma” wrong. ;)
